One of China’s biggest club chains opens up yet another venue under the name Soho – which could be a play-on-words of something different entirely. As far as aesthetics are concerned, wherever you see a Soho you know you will get heavy metal pipes, big screens and a faux 1930s American art gallery theme. But at least the glass based architecture offers something a little different here. On the second floor you’ll find a live Jazz bar with continental furniture and live Jazz musicians. Then Soho’s KTV rooms mix funky and luxurious elements together and not overly priced at RMB680 minimum a night. One thing is certain, that’s Soho will always be packed – and mix that with attentive service, cool new surroundings and popular get-up-and-dance music and you know why China has a love affair with Soho.
